As the world swirls around with economy falling apart, people having no real truths, and strange things happening everywhere, I paused in my life and realized how I need to teach my children scripture memorization.
We have our Bibles, our computers, our everything that could be taken away from us, but nothing will be able to take away my children's memories that are inside of their heads.
If I intentionally implant in their minds the Word of God, and the "good" times that we know go away, well, then I have enriched their minds with the Holy Scripture, and what a wonderful thing that is.

So true. Thank you for reminding me. The words of Scripture I have memorized (mostly as a child) bring direction and comfort to my life. Especially those times when I can't get to my Bible, it has been so precious to have "hidden" the Word in my heart. I need to do better with memorization for myself and my children.
