1. Do you have the guts to answer these questions and re-post as The Controversial Survey?

I do, although when I speak up about my thoughts on these things, LOTS of people get REALLY angry..... oh well..... :)

2. Would you do meth if it was legal?

No. Not even a thought.

3. Abortion: for or against it?

Very much against it. We are talking about human life here. If we kill the ones who cannot defend themselves~~(elderly, handicapped people and pre-borns and children), then who will stand up for them? Think of the Good Samaritan......

4. Do you think the world would fail with a female president?

No, I do not think that the world would fall apart with a female president. It might make us sit up and wake up a bit! (I can't get the font color to change!)

5. Do you believe in agree with the death penalty?

Yes, in most circumstances; In the Bible it talks of the government and of how the government are God's Agents of Wrath. The government is set up for the "dole-ing" out of what needs to be done to criminals.

Side thought: A lot of people say that the government has no right to "control" what a woman does with her body according to abortion, YET....we want the police and the courts to "control" the murderer?

Well, I used to think that it didn't matter because people are going to smoke it anyway, BUT now that I have children, do I really want my family and I walking down the street watching people get high? Hmmm.... I say not. Would we have "Pot Bars". We have to look at the bigger picture.

Plus, think of the health consequences....it EATS your brain up. I have had friends that are proof.

7. Are you for or against premarital sex?

I am against premarital sex. If we again look at the bigger picture here, we can see the dire consequences that come with having casual and premarital sex (the media doesn't talk about that much, does it, it isn't "pretty" enough). I also know that we reap what we sow.

If we become "one" with someone. And then we become "one" with the next one, well, pretty soon, we are all messed up. Plus, we aren't looking at what a gift married sex is. It's an incredible blessing!

8. Do you believe in God?

Yes, I do. But that doesn't mean that I can't relate to the people that don't.

9. Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?

Biblical point of view: No. But I am NOT a hater. Why is it that since I believe this, people think that I hate people with other points of views?

10. Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA?

Illegally, YES. Why not just do it the LEGAL way, my Mom did.

11. A twelve year old girl has a baby, should she keep it?

So many of these questions are so juvenile...... let's see, if she has an awesome family, then I say yes, BUT if she doesn't, I say that ADOPTION is an incredible option.....

12. Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?

Umm, let's see. In high school, they got drunk anyway. BUT, by keeping it illegal, maybe it keeps the streets safer?

13. Should the war in Iraq be called off?

I have no ability to answer this question. The media paints it all as horrible, yet we had to war with Hitler in order to save the holocaust victims.

I would have to talk to a majority of soldiers to answer this question correctly. I CANNOT have my mind judge what should be done by what the media says, that for sure!

14. Assisted suicide is illegal:

Sanctity of human life, man. We have to protect life. But if machines and wires is all that are keeping someone alive, then I would have to think about what would be what God would want.

15. Do you believe in spanking your children?

Yes, in certain circumstances. But you have to have a solid balance.

16. Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?

Nope. It's just the principle of it all. A lot of soldiers lost their lives for this country. It shows only disrespect. Would you burn your family photo album?

17. Who do you think would make a better president? McCain or Obama?

Not Obama, that's for sure. But I can't say that I agree with our other presidential choice all that much.

Everyone is declaring how "holy" Obama is. Hey, listen up, NO man can "save" or "change" things much. He's just a man, not a dictator~~unless that's what people are hoping the "change" is.

Plus, how could I vote for a man that could possibly let a baby die after it had survived a botched abortion. I am a HUMAN. How can I overlook that fact? It makes him sound like a monster.

18. Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers?

No, everyone is an adult. They can handle it, just like I can handle their answers. :) I am American! I have these rights (fir the time being....). :O)

Biblical Truth

Barna Research says that only 4% percent of people have a Biblical Worldview. And of those that are "born again", only 9%percent of people have a Biblical Worldview. That means that if you have 100 evangelical Christians in the room, only 9 of them will believe the all-encompassing truth that the Bible holds.

This shocks me, how about you?

Do you call yourself a "born again" Christian; if you do, do you believe in the absolute truth of the Holy Bible?

I have recently seen on the net, thoughts about how the Bible outlines what we can and cannot do. They go to Leviticus to get their ammunition to tell us, "How can you take the Bible seriously when there are these things in there." Things such as:

• Leviticus 19:27 "Do not trim off the hair on your temples or clip the edges of your beards."
  
• Leviticus 11:10 "You may not, however, eat marine animals that do not have both fins and scales."
  
• Leviticus 11:5 "The same is true of the rock badger, and the hare, so they also may never be eaten."
  

Okay, okay, let's get it straight here. Let's start doing our research and understand why these rules were set up.

'Leviticus was written as a handbook for the priests and the Levites of Israel. It gives detailed rules concerning the daily lives of the Israelites and special procedures for the worship of God. It provides instructions for offering sacrifices. It describes the proper methods for the Israelites to observe major festivals and holidays and for the priests to carry out their duties of their offices.'[paraphrase from a NLT Bible].

Now, do we have even a tiny glimpse of what Leviticus is dealing with here? We need to try to stop and think before we just jump into believing what someone else says that the Bible is saying. We have no comprehension of what needed to be done back in those times to establish a priesthood or to be an Israelite. None whatsoever. If you are a Bible scholar, you then do know what's going on, but just me and my friends sitting around: None.

Leave the Bible alone. "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." Galatians 6:7

This doesn't mean that at times I don't have questions about God and about what God expects from us. I do have questions, and sometimes I have tons of them. Sometimes I don't have an understanding of some of his laws. I then have to make myself go to the Bible and to other strong Christians that are knowledgable in God's Holy Word , to get a grip on the situation of my questions.

I explained to my children yesterday about why God has set up rules for us to follow. Picture the Grand Canyon, picture a bridge, a wobbly one at that, that has no side rails, it's just you and that bridge getting in touch with nature by trying to get across without a rail....ha. The rules that God has us follow are the boundaries, ie: the siderails that he installs on the wobbly bridge.

If I tell my children not to play in the front yard when I run to the store, I am not trying to ruin their lives, I am not trying to be legalistic and controlling, I am merely knowing that playing in the front yard during that small time that I am away, is a boundary that is there to protect them. Do they always understand why I have put up these boundaries? No, definitely not. But just as a child doesn't understand why it shouldn't reach out and touch the plug in, we don't always understand some of what the Holy Lord has put out in front of us.

God is not afraid of our questions. Go ahead and ask them. But don't desecrate the very Bible that gives you instruction. Make sure that you go to someone who respects the Lord, who doesn't want to paint you a pretty picture and say what you want to hear. Go to someone that will tell you the truth, not their truth, but God's truth.

Jesus came as God incarnate. He came to bring Truth to the world. He testifies to the Truth. The evidence is clearly written out for all to see.

Yes, the whole Bible is God's Word, and every part of it has lessons to teach us. The Bible says, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16).

At the same time, Christians have always believed that many of the laws of the Old Testament no longer apply to us the way they once did - and the reason is because Jesus Christ has fulfilled them. They pointed forward to the coming of the Messiah - and once He came, they were no longer needed.

Let me give an example. In Old Testament times, the priests carried out animal sacrifices every day to make atonement for the sins of the people. But through His death on the cross, Jesus paid the final price for our sins - fully and completely. No more sacrifices are needed, because He is a final sacrifice for sin. Our sins have been forgiven because all our sins were placed on Christ, "And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin" (Hebrews 10:18).

Does this mean we should just ignore those parts of the Old Testament? No, not at all. They teach us just how seriously God takes sin, and they remind us too of what it cost God to make our salvation possible. Most of all, they point us to Jesus Christ, who loved us so much that He was willing to give His life for us. Have you responded to His love by giving your life to Him?
