Child #4 took his five projects to the 4h judging and he did great. It was exciting being in the center of the beehive of all of it.He had to sit and wait with his projects and then one by one he had to go and get interviewed.
He won a purple (1st placing) for his first aid kit, a purple for his soy carrot muffins, a blue (2nd placing) for his lego building, a blue for his eagle drawing and a blue for his birdhouse. Pretty sweet, eh?
Last evening, my family and I excluding our son, were on a pro-life float, which was pretty sweet. It was fun to hang out with a whole bunch of little kids and watch them sing and be kids. My husband was a hoot to watch too, waving and smiling and then he eventually went and passed candy out, which he really thought was fun. :) Yeah!!
So, after that was through, we headed to the Whopper feed (right behind our house~convenient!) and we walked through and looked at all of the stuff that was on display. We found all of my sons projects, except his soy-carrot muffins, so we wondered if someone had eaten them. Then later, child #2 found them, and here the muffins were sitting on the "Best of Show" table. Cool!!
Yes, my life is simple. But I love it.
