One thing that I know about my children, is that they are always so willing to learn about new things.

Last week, an opportunity came to pick apples at a friends' house. The children were delighted at picking up the apples and deciding which ones were good enough to keep.

And then the real surprise came when our friend took out an apple corer/peeler. She hooked it up to the table and she cored/peeled apples right in front of the children, they watched in wonder.

Then she allowed them to do it.
They were ready and willing.
