It's Just the Time in My Life When I Wonder "What's Going On?"

We have two cars. Really we have three, but one has been disabled for a few months now.

Last week, my hubby's car died. He worked on it last Saturday and found out that the something wrong with it is pretty big to fix. So, my dear sibling lent us his car this past week....

Now yesterday, our Family Van broke down. Same thing is wrong with it as with my Hubby's car. Like I said: "Pretty big to fix..."

Now we are left no other choice but to borrow two separate cars from two separate families. It's pretty humbling, and not in the "This is a good kind of humble." More of a "Whoa, what now?" sort of humble.

I know that the Lord created this universe and that He created me, so I realize that I can't fall into the "Whoa, where's God when I need Him mode!!", but I am forcing myself to fall into the "He WILL take care of me, I just know it." mode.

The part that is hardest for me is borrowing vehicles from other people. What do we have to give them? Absolutely nuttin'.

We have always had a great reliable van. For almost 7 years now we have had this van, and all of it's troubles were able to be fixed by my husband, and once by a mechanic when we knew that he wouldn't be able to do it.

I had faith in my van. I realize now I need to have faith in God, NOT A VAN.

So, the dilemma. Where do we get the money that we will need once this van is taken to the mechanic? We told ourselves that we wouldn't use credit cards, so I am really feeling strong about not using them still, even to fix our van.

So, here's where I show my trust in Gods' abilities in taking care of us. Here's where I put my arms up in complete adoration and say, "I know you are the one who provides ALL things. Who creates ALL things. Please continue to provide for us! Please know that we need your help! We can't do this on our own."
Matthew 6:25-34

25 “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? 27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?
28 “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, 29 yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?
31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God[d] above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
