There's just something about winter that I love. Of course, I could dwell on the more negative side of things and wish that it were summer, which would be much easier for my personality to do. But I decided that I would take a positive spin on this season this year.Look at the picture from yesterday: my husband, my son and my son's friend. The temperature was about 30 degrees out, very, very comfortable if you are used to the weather. The boys were out to scrape the sidewalks.
The girls and I bundled up and climbed "snow hills" that the snow plows had created. It was literally a winter wonderland. Everywhere that you looked there was snow.I felt so clean, so refreshed, breathing in that pure air.
I don't know how many inches we got, but the interstates got closed all over and no travel had been advised. Today the winds have died down and the sun is back out, but the temperature is much colder.

Here's a funny picture of our dogs that were enjoying the snow so much; just running around like crazed maniacs! They wouldn't hold still for this picture, thus Phoebe's little running tail in the front and Lucy's leash coming straight at us.
Having been in the house for a few days really gets a person/animal to want to get out, to NEED to get out.
Spring will be here soon and the snow will be gone.
Today I'm going to enjoy the cold.
