I have always admired people that make their own soaps etc. I think it's so ingenius and economical and I am finally trying to be part of "that" world ;-).On Dollymama, she was offering laundry detergent kits and since I knew her from her blog and from communicating from her through e-mails, I knew that I could trust her. So I sent her the check and I got my kit today.
It came in a neat little brown paper sack and inside the sack was a sandwhich bag filled with the ingredients I needed for my concotion. I followed the instructions, stuck the powder and the water in a pot, divided it and Voila! I had made my very own detergent. I added the lemongrass scent after it had cooled.
I then added it to two gallons of water. This all for only $11 and that included shipping, very economical compared to what I pay at the store for detergent!
I am hoping to find out about how to make more things like this. If you have any recipes to share please send them to me!!
